Tourism in Bayelsa

Bayelsa State is naturally endowed with rich tourist potentials. Some of these potentials date back to pre-colonial times. This portrays the level of development and growth in political, socio-economic, cultural as well as technological fabric before the advent of modernity. There are significant historic sites, museums and monuments, artifacts recovered from archaeological finds, settlements, birthplaces of notable persons, arts, crafts, traditional festivals etc. that serve as attractions to tourists.
